Cabela’s Canada announced as major sponsor for event in support of the military and the RCMP

(MONCTON – April 13, 2015) Atlantic Maple Leaf is pleased to announce Cabela’s Canada has come on board as the dinner sponsor for Lest We Forget ~ N’oublions jamais gala.   The event will recognize and remember New Brunswickers who have served and sacrificed for our country - a cause felt deeply in our province.

“We are thrilled that Cabela’s has stepped up to the plate in such a major way,” said David Hawkins, Community Ambassador for the event.  “They’ve really embraced the community and have come on as a sponsor even before they’ve opened the store! It’s so great to have them on board in this capacity and I know that we are all looking forward to their grand opening here in Moncton on May 28th. ”

Cabela’s will be working closely with Chef Matt Pennell, winner of Chopped Canada and arguably one of the best chefs in the country, to craft a purely New Brunswick menu for the tribute dinner.  The menu will include game meat, local produce, and flavours reflective of the Atlantic Region.

The Tribute Dinner, where former Sergeant-at-Arms, Ambassador to Ireland and Canadian hero Kevin Vickers will be the keynote speaker, is part of a two-day Remembrance event.  The event will include 25,000 sq ft of historic displays, equipment and vehicles from New Brunswick’s 167 years of military history. The displays will be open to the public at no charge on November 11, Remembrance Day.
